Our Membership Program offers a variety of opportunities for visitors to become more involved at the Museum.  And by joining our Program, you give us a better chance of meeting our mission: The National Heritage Museum and Library's mission is to engage and inspire, through its exhibits, programs, and collections, a knowledge and appreciation of America's history, heritage, culture, and traditions with a focus on the nation's formative years, Freemasonry, and fraternalism. It will build interest and support for its mission by emphasizing themes of liberty, patriotism, and personal and civic virtues.

Out of more than 110 museums in New England accredited by the American Association of Museums, the National Heritage Museum is one of a few that has free admission year-round.

We host over twelve changing exhibitions a year, maintain three permanent quality exhibitions, care for one of the finest Masonic and fraternal collections in the U.S., and provide a full calendar of the highest caliber performances, events and programs.  To improve and grow our Museum's offerings each year, we depend upon the support of our Members.

Every dollar received through Membership goes directly towards the Museum's operating expenses.  Your contribution allows us to keep our doors open seven days a week, free of charge to all visitors.  And your membership fee is tax-deductible.

Every member counts at our Museum and all members are acknowledged for their important contribution to our institutional advancement.

There are various membership levels to suit all needs:

Regardless of the level selected, your membership includes our 12-page, full color quarterly Newsletter to Our Friends, advance notice of special programs, previews of our exhibitions at opening events, an Annual Report, a 10% savings in the Heritage Shop and a 10% savings in the Courtyard Café. 

At the Contributor level, a member can also take advantage of curator-led tours. More importantly, when you upgrade to the Contributor level or above, you will receive reciprocal membership at more than 300 museums in North America.  This reciprocal program gives our Contributor Members unlimited free admission, discounts in gift shops (on premises) and discounts on lecture and concert tickets enjoyed by the members of these 300 museums.  A sticker on your membership card allows you to take advantage of the reciprocal membership program.

At the Associate level, a member is additionally invited to take behind-the-scenes tours and will be listed in our Annual Report.  Finally, at the Benefactor level, the program also allows a one-time 10% discount on rental facilities and a VIP tour for you and four guests.
